KESETIAAN JANJI TOKOH PRAWITA MENGHADAPI KONFLIK RUMAH TANGGA DALAM NOVEL GUMUK SANDHI KARYA POERWADHIE ATMODIHARDJO (Suatu Tinjauan Psikologi Sastra)

Thesis: Study Program of Javanese Literature, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, University of Sebelas Maret, Surakarta. The research problems which are discussed in this study are (1) structure analysis of Gumuk Sandhi novel by Poerwadhie Atmodihardjo according to theory of Robert Stanton; (2) causal element of domestic conflict; (3) deomestic conflict and loyalty influence to defence mechanism on Prawita figure; and (4) impact analysis of defence mechanism on Prawita figure. This study aims at (1) describing the structure of Gumuk Sandhi novel by Poerwadhie Atmodihardjo according to the structural theory of Robert Stanton; (2) describe causal element of domestic conflict; (3) describe domestic conflict and loyalty influence to defence mechanism on Prawita figure; and (4) describe impact analysis of defence mechanism on Prawita figure. Theoritically, this study provides benefit to enrich science of psychology study especially literary psychology. Practically this study will enrich science and concept defence mechanism control with pressure control influence and condition study case to defence mechanism instinct of every individual. Theoretical framework applied in this study is structural theory of Robert Stanton, psychological literay approach, and defence mechanism and conflict of Sigmund Freud. This is a literary research with descriptive qualitative method. The data source from Gumuk Sandhi novel published by Kiblat Publisher in 2013 third edition. The data on this research based on novel text of Gumuk Sandhi on structural element, psychology literary element, and defence mechanism and conflict element. As a result, the research concludes that (1) Gumuk Sandhi novel by Poerwadhie Atmodihardjo as whole indicated existency of close relathionship between its elements based on Robert Stanton theory; (2) causal element of domestic conflict; (3) deomestic conflict and loyalty influence to defence mechanism on Prawita figure; and (4) impact analysis of defence mechanism on Prawita figure.
