HUBUNGAN FORWARD TERHADAP RISIKO TENSION HEADACHE PADA PENGGUNA SMARTPHONE

Background : Smartphone users tend to bow their heads to stare at the screen and keep the head on position forward in a long period of time. This unergonomic position will lead to the occurrence of forward head posture which causes muscle activity in the neck area to be excessive and risk of tension hedache. Objectives : To know the forward head posture to the risk of tension headache in smartphone users. Research method : The design of this research is descriptive analytic with cross sectional approach. The respondents in this study were students of Physiotherapy University of Muhammadiyah Malang amounting to 51 samples with purposive sampling technique using NRS pain measurement scale. Result : The results of the Chi Square correlation test are obtained probability value P = 0.015 which means there is a significant relationship between the forward head posture to the risk of tension headache in smartphone users. Conclusion : There is a significant link between the forward head posture to the risk of tension headache on smartphone users
