Eine Struktur-Funktions Studie von den zwei Enzymen Chorismat synthase und Glutamyl-tRNA synthase aus Mycobacterium tuberculosis wird vorgestellt. Kristallstrukturen beider Enzyme wurden mittels Röntgenkristallographie bestimmt und eine Funktionsanalyse zeigte, wie einzelne Aminosäuren die enzymatische Funktion auf der makroskopischen Ebene beeinflussen.
