EVALUASI PENGGUNAAN ANTIBIOTIK SECARA KUANTITATIF DAN KUALITATIF PADA PASIEN DI RUANG HIGH CARE UNIT (HCU) DAN PULMONARY RSUD. DR. ISKAK TULUNGAGUNG

Background: Infection is one of the main factors causing death in hospitals and other health care facilities in Indonesia. The high prevalence of infectious diseases is also followed by increased use of antibiotics. The number of prescriptions and the use of antibiotics is expected to have a positive impact, but misuse of antibiotics can cause negative effects. The Ministry Health of Indonesia recommends evaluating the use of antibiotics quantitatively with DDD (Defined Daily Dose) method and qualitatively with Gyssens method. Objective: Evaluating the use of antibiotics quantitatively with DDD (Defined Daily Dose) and qualitative with Gyssens method in High Care Unit (HCU) and Pulmonary at dr. Iskak Hospital, Tulungagung Method: Analyze the patient's medical record data retrospectively during October 1 to December 31, 2019 then quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate the use of antibiotics in the High Care Unit (HCU) and Pulmonary Center at dr. Iskak Hospital, Tulungagung. Results and Conclusion: The most frequently prescribed antibiotics in HCU were Ceftriaxone at 39.97 DDD/100 patient-days while in the Pulmonary were Levofloxacin at 90.33 DDD / 100 patient-days. The appropriate use of antibiotics in the HCU and Pulmonary (category 0) is 49.52% and 59.17%
