This bachelor thesis deals with design and development of mobile application de-signed for the Android platform. Application guide users based on their location and sound records, that describing places, monuments and attractions near them. The theoretical part of thesis describes options of development, methodology and comparison of competing applications. The practical part describes design and implementation of application, that serves as voice guide. The main goal of bache-lor thesis is design and development of mobile application and point on tools and procedures, that can be used to achieve this objective. The secondary goals of the thesis are deepening knowledge in the field of application development for An-droid platform, working with GPS module and media playing. Functionality of the application is verified on the test data that have been created in the area of Mendel University
