Kapur Bukit (Dryoba/anops beccarii Dyer) from the Dipterocarpaceae family was chosen for this study due to it economic llJld ecological importllllce. Three experiments were conducted under fog llJld non-fog conditions in order to examine the factors (age of cutting, rooting medium llJld plllJlt growth regulator) that affecting the rooting of D. beccarii stem cuttings. The cuttings taken from N3 (second node below Nl) showed the highest rooting percentage under both conditions (87.5% under non-fog llJld 52.5% under fog condition) compared to NI (portion of stem from the terminal of the shoot which turning from green to brown) llJld N2 (first node below NI).
