Currently, the project methodologies applied to Automotive Design indicate measurement limitations of car users’ emotional responses, specifically in terms of correlating such responses to product project parameters. The purpose of this article lies in the mapping and elucidation of the neurophysiological data measurement techniques adopted by Automotive Design research, developed between the years 2000 and 2017, in order to identify relevancies to project development in this field. The main outcomes achieved in each investigation are discussed, as well as the main obstacles to the advancement of studies of this nature.
