This article is a continuation of earlier research into the applicability of the concept of musical score in literary studies. Unlike the approaches of Anna Martuszewska, who has compared the ontology of the score and that of the literary work, or Andrzej Hajmej, who has been exploring the links between some literary texts and the corresponding musical compositions, this study focuses on those literary works whose interpretation cannot dispense without taking into account the concept of musical score in general as well as its historical variations and their reception (the diverse reception modes can be treated as Michel Riffaterre’s interpretants).
