Caption: "Into the air goes a huge arrow, and everyone knows just where it landed Friday-on top of the new arrows to atoms tower at the State Fairgrounds. When the arrow, shown here telescoped within itself, is stretched to its full height atop the tower, whe whole structure will be 330 feet high. The aromic symbol will be welded into place after the arrow is installed. State fair visitors will get to ride a doughnut-shaped elevator to the 260-foot level where the cage-like structure perches. The cage is the equipment room for the elevator.
