High Line Job To Bring New Power To City

These towers are bringing power from the new Mustang station into Oklahoma City. They'll carry two 66,000-volt lines, which are attached to insulators 4 1/2 feet long and weighing about 125 pounds each. These towers are from 88 to 108 feet high, and the wire is swung in 900-foot spans through the air that high. Power is coming to the Broadway sub-station, and to the Reno Avenue switching station. The Reno station is a central distributing point for power that goes from the three stations here throughout the city, and to Ardmore, Seminole and other cities serviced by the company.
