在复杂三维表面建模中,三角面数目巨大,需要运用模型的简化技术,以便于在一般的PC机上进行实时渲染.另外一般还要对原始的粗糙模型进行平滑以达到较好的观察效果.针对这一类问题,本文提出了一种新的方法,将这两个过程结合起来,把简化安排在平滑的过程中完成.本方法结合了两种比较常用的简化方法:点删除和边删除法的优点,并且利用了平滑时产生的中间结果作为简化选择的权值,简化了运算、提高了效率.Triangles are the most popular primitive of 3D surface model,however often thousands or millions of primitives are required to capture the details of complex models,which is beyond the render capability of common PC,thus model simplification was introduced.In some real modeling cases,we not only want to simplify the model but also smooth the model for better visual effect.This article introduces a new method to combine these two procedures,that is,simplification is done during smoothing.And our simplification method takes the advantages of the two main ...
