SPE IPMMasterAbstract Plasmopara viticola is an oomycete responsible for the downy mildew in cultivated grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.). Vine-growers often resort to a massive chemical control (fungicide) to struggle against this disease. However, the automatic use of phytopharmaceuticals involves an economic cost for vines-growers as well as identified effects on environment and on human health. In the framework of the EcoPhyto plan which supports a strong decrease of the use of synthetic products for crop protection, alternatives solutions are under review.
