On the Problem of Pulsed Oscillations in Ruby Maser

It is shown by means of a semiquantitative nonlinear analysis that elementary interaction between an inverted electron spin system and a resonant cavity does not give rise to the pulsed mode of operation of the ruby maser oscillator.
