Faktorer som influerer på ansattes trivsel og velvære - En intervju undersøkelse i et forsikringsselskap -

The purpose of this study was to explore employees’ experiences of job-satisfaction and well-being to gain knowledge concerning the factors that influence job satisfaction and well-being. This is a study that used qualitative research interviews to explore job satisfaction and well-being for six employees in an insurance company in Norway. The participants reported a high degree of job satisfaction. The findings suggest that having good colleagues, being able to cope with work-related tasks, achieving good sales results and that work conditions are organized so that employees can work at their best, have a positive influence on the participant’s job satisfaction and well-being. On the other hand, factors that appear to have a negative influence on the participants’ experience of job satisfaction and well-being include increased performance demands, unpredictable leadership, a decline in sales results, injustice, and many changes within a short period, and little variation in the tasks to be performed. In order to increase the level of job satisfaction and well-being it is important to organize so tha employees can achieve goals, increase the degree to which employees influence their job situation, to increase the degree of variation in their tasks and to provide them with challenging enough work.
