Employee job satisfaction in 21st Century organizations

The objective of this study is to observe job satisfaction. The goal is to find out which factors affect employee job satisfaction and how they affect it. Another goal is to find out the level of job satisfaction in a case company and make recommendations to improve and maintain it. The theoretical framework consists of the concepts of motivation and satisfaction as well as aspects which have an impact on it such as leadership and organizational culture. Some of the most relevant theories are discussed. The study was carried out by using a questionnaire which was given to all the employees of the organization. The main research categories were Leadership and management, X as a company, Personal well-being, Work characteristics and X as a place to work. Quantitative approach was used in conducting the survey because of the number of people working for the organization and because the company wanted to see how job satisfaction has changed over the years. The results showed that job satisfaction in general is very high in the case organization. However, the results indicated difficult times for the organization because of the changes that are made currently and will be made in the future due to the massive growth the organization has been going through. The company was pleased with the results and will continue working towards their number one goal which is employee satisfaction and well-being.
