The article explores the activities of two museums of theatrical and artistic profile: The National Center for Stage Costumes and Scenography in Moulins (France) and the Dali Theater Museum (Spain), which have a connection with both the theatrical and artistic thematic components that influence the formation of collections. A generalization of the conceptual ideas used in the construction of the expositions of theater and art museums made it possible to determine that they are similar, but differ in the uniqueness of self-expression of creative potential.
