This bachelor thesis deals with analysis of the impact of climate change on food and political security and safety generally in Sahel. Thesis also deals with the problem of freshwater and shrinking of lake Chad area. Thesis focuses on the area of the Niger and local influence index of the price of rice to food sovereignty and the associated poverty. This thesis aims to link these two figures and demonstrate their mutual influence
