The First Mental Aid in the Pre-hospital Emergency Care from the Perspective of the Paramedic

This thesis deals with the provision of primary mental health services during emergency operations by a paramedic or any other medical staff to an individual who is in a state of psychological distress. It confirms the need for intervention techniques used by paramedic staff in everyday situations. The research part of this work is focused on the description of situations that make use of primary mental health care. This will be presented in the form of case studies. These were carried out by an emergency medical service in Moravian?Silesian Region (Zdravotnická záchranná služba Moravskoslezského kraje). Additional interviews with paramedics are also enclosed
