Possible ways of preserving endangered cultural monument – Castle Petrovice.

This Bachelor thesis aims to introduce to the wide public the issue of preservation of immovable cultural heritage within the Czech Republic. Using the specific example of Petrovice castle located on the outskirts of Prague I am mapping the reasons that led to the current unsatisfactory state of the castle site. For definition of critical issues that hinder the potential rescue, an analysis of the approach of state institutions is used together with the outcomes of a marketing tool -- questionnaire, through which inhabitants of Prague -- Petrovice district were approached. The understanding the issue of cultural monuments preservation should not only provide a personal benefit, but also advice for future generations that will have to target similar situations more often
