Sugar factory of Dobrovice in years 1987 - 1993

This thesis deals with sugar production in Czechoslovakia in 1987 -- 1993. The issue is outlined by using the probe method in the sugar factory in Dobrovice. It describes the history and condition of the industry before 1989 which was controlled by central planning. It lists and characterizes changes in the sector after the transition to a capitalist system and market liberalization. It describes in detail the administrative, technical and financial developments in the sugar factory in Dobrovice. It examines the process of delimitation of the state company, the transformation into a joint stock company by privatization and the entry of foreign investors. The issue is elaborated on the basis of unpublished sources in the form of internal documents, which are archived in the factory and with using oral history method
