In my bachelor's thesis, on the basis of several case studies I examine the relationship between text and moving images in an artistic context. I am interested in the volatility of the reception of these two mediums and their mutual influence. At the same time I attempt to ascertain the motivation of contemporary artists using the principle of "text within text". Because this pertains to works created in roughly the last ten years, I frame them within the current social discourse. This entails venturing even into non-artistic spheres, were the principle of the doubling of media is also prolific.
