The meaning of artworks with presence of text

The goal of this thesis was to research art work that contains text, fragments of words, letters and other signs. I discovered the meaning of these texts through researching works of art and through theoretical findings. Beside this the relationship between image and word, which is between the visual and the verbal, through history until today has been researched. In the authorial part of the thesis the appearance of texts and signs in my own art work was analyzed and researched. In the pedagogical part of the thesis the process of visual and verbal elements being combined in the art creation of children aged 13 and 14 has been observed
