Abstract The Thesis dealt with the issues of management style, communication and satisfaction with work conditions among shift nurses. The survey research was based on anonymous questionnaires given to shift nurses in České Budějovice Hospital. The survey research was aimed at satisfaction survey in particular areas of the individual dimensions. We evaluated relations at workplace, communication forms used among nursing staff, managerial style of superiors, nurses-managers. We also examined for example satisfaction with remuneration, getting up for work early in the morning and convenience and appearance of nursing uniforms.
