171 p.El ácido levulínico (LA) es un compuesto derivado de la biomasa con gran proyección para los futuros procesos de biorrefinería, como la producción 2-metil tetrahidrofurano (MTHF) y otros biocombustibles. La producción sostenible de éstos compuestos requiere el desarrollo de procesos catalíticos basados en metales no-nobles como el estudiado en esta tesis (Ni-Cu/Al2O3). En esta investigación se comprobó que el agua no es un buen disolvente para la reacción por limitar la reacción de la ¿-valerolactona (GVL), un compuesto intermedio de la reacción, a MTHF.
