En este artículo se presentan los resultados de un análisis de contenido efectuado sobre una muestra de publicidad de ONGD emitida en la prensa de Jerez durante el año 2010. Se pretende comprobar en qué medida sus contenidos cumplen o se desvían de los principios establecidos por la Coordinadora de ONG para el Desarrollo-España en su Código de Conducta. En la primera parte se exponen los conceptos útiles para comprender la publicidad social, su origen y características.
