This study investigated new hires' informational acquisition about organisational domains. New hires were portrayed as proactive in seeking information about their organisations following job entry. Information seeking becomes a means of assimilating into their new roles. Importance of difference types of information, relationships between types and techniques and sources and the effects of moderators (extroversion, social support of co-workers and supervisors and the size of the organisation) on information acquition through inquiry were studied
