Microdisplay technology has attracted the attention as projection displays and near to eye (NTE) displays due to its advantages of high resolution, tiny physical display size and low power consumption. Combined with complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology, several display technologies are employed to implement a microdisplay application, such as liquid crystal or electroluminescent display.
