This report documents the achievements for the final year project. It provides a description and analysis on the development of an Android-Arduino application. An analysis was made on the use of Bluetooth as the key source of wireless communication between the Android mobile device and the Arduino. Through the sending and receiving of serial values, the Android is able to control the behavior of the Arduino. Documentation was made on the implementation of IR remote controlling from the Arduino. Through sending of IR pulses stored in the Arduino, it is able to control several devices and thus, enabling the mobile device to act as a remote control.
