A prototype of a smart home system remote control based on arduino using android smartphone as controller has been made. This system can help the users to control electrical devices from a distance. This system is equipped with on and off button on the software that will be embedded in android smartphone to control four electrical devices, so users do not need to go to the system to turn off or turn on electrical devices. The system is made using arduino uno as the control system, BTshield bluetooth as a communication medium and android smartphone as a remote control.
