A literatura infantil como recurso didático para o desenvolvimento da leitura nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental em uma escola pública de João Pessoa

The purpose of this study was to analyze children's literature as a resource for the development of reading in a public school in João Pessoa and to verify if the children's literature is actually being worked, as well as what methods and strategies are used by teachers of the years elementary education in the classroom. Literature is a resource of great importance in the formation of reading subjects, as it awakens the child's imagination and thought in a meaningful and pleasant way. However, in order for this formation to take place, reading must be done with pleasure, not duty. Therefore, to discuss this theme, theorists were approached, such as: Freire (2011); Martins (2004); Zilberman (2014); Koch and Elias (2008); among others, which were revisited in the course of the work, dealing with the theme involving reading and children's literature, which are the most important points in this work. In the methodology of the research, the qualitative approach was used, with observations and questionnaires being applied with 05 (five) teachers of the initial years of elementary education, being objective and subjective questions, in order to collect data, besides analyzing and discussing about the use of children's literature, highlighting their importance in the classroom, to encourage reading.O presente trabalho teve como propósito analisar a literatura infantil como recurso para o desenvolvimento da leitura em uma escola pública de João Pessoa e verificar se a literatura infantil, de fato, está sendo trabalhada, bem como quais métodos e estratégias são utilizados pelos professores dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental em sala de aula. A literatura é um recurso de suma importância na formação de sujeitos leitores, pois desperta a imaginação o e pensamento da criança, de forma significativa e prazerosa. No entanto, para que essa formação seja concretizada, a leitura precisa ser feita com prazer, e não por dever. Sendo assim, para discutir essa temática, foram abordados teóricos, como: Freire (2011); Martins (2004); Zilberman (2014); Koch e Elias (2008); dentre outros, os quais foram revisitados no decorrer do trabalho, tratando do tema envolvendo a leitura e a literatura infantil, que são os pontos mais importantes neste trabalho. Na metodologia da pesquisa, foi utilizada a abordagem qualitativa, sendo realizadas observações e a aplicação de questionários com 05 (cinco) professoras dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental, sendo questões objetivas e subjetivas, a fim de se coletar dados, além de analisar e discutir acerca do uso da literatura infantil, destacando a sua importância em sala de aula, para o incentivo à leitura
