Saúde mental e trabalho: estratégias dos motoristas de ônibus frente à insegurança

The present study is grounded in a knowledge field that approaches the relation between mental health and work, and aimed to analyze the urban bus drivers‟ work and the main strategies used by them ones in a situation of insecurity when are working. According to data published by Brazilian media, the amount of assaults to urban buses has been increasing significantly lately. What reveals the debates importance, but above all, the necessity of more studies about this thematic. From the workers‟ point of view, intended it to characterize the bus driver activity as regards their working conditions, describe those ones and identify what they think on the context of insecurity of urban public transport. Assumed it that the difficult work conditions like the increase of urban violence, contributes to the bus drivers exercise their activities under the lash of fear. In this sense, it was accomplished a study case with a group composed by 16 bus drivers employed in one of six public transport companies of João Pessoa/PB. The research process included the documental analyses, observations and semi-structured interviews with each participant. After the data collection and the transcription, through the content analyses, was procedure the corpus systematization, categorized by thematic axes, based on the model proposed by Bardin (2002). The Psychodynamic and Fracophonic Ergonomics was used as theoretical and methodological support was used in order to identify the mobilization of the affects, suffering and of pleasure resulting of the actual work, in other words, the developed activities. Among the main findings, noticed it that the drivers that participated of these research are rather vulnerable and insecure front of the precarious working conditions. That feeling is reinforced once the contractor companies neglected the employs‟ rights, carrying out a severe control on the activities; demand the fulfillment of stipulated schedules and a satisfactory attendance to users, disregarding all the adverse work situations of those professionals. Accordingly the statements, the psychical suffering become visible by the following indicator: ill-being, constantly body pain and physical and mental wastage. Observed it that the professional are aware of the great responsibility that they have driving, in many cases, a collective vehicle which do not present suitable conditions to transit appropriately. Those situations are faced through individual and collective strategies. Aimed it to contribute to the recognition of that professional category and identification of working conditions lived by them. Those findings indicated that the companies should implement actions concerning the workers‟ security, what will contribute to improve the quality of the services rendered to population.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESO presente estudo se insere no campo de conhecimento que trata das relações entre a saúde mental e o trabalho e teve como objetivo central analisar o trabalho de motoristas de ônibus urbano e as principais estratégias utilizadas frente às situações de insegurança no trabalho. Conforme dados divulgados pela mídia brasileira, cresce significativamente o número de ocorrências de assaltos aos ônibus urbanos. O que revela a importância não só do debate como de estudos acerca do tema. Buscou-se caracterizar o trabalho do motorista de ônibus no que tange às condições de trabalho; descrever essas condições e identificar o contexto de insegurança a partir da visão dos trabalhadores. Partiu-se do pressuposto de que as más condições de trabalho como também o aumento da violência urbana, contribuem para que os motoristas exerçam suas atividades sob o domínio do medo. Realizou-se um estudo de caso com um grupo de 16 motoristas pertencentes a seis empresas da cidade de João Pessoa /Pb. O processo de pesquisa incluiu analise documental, observações e entrevistas semi-estruturadas com os participantes e, após a transcrição, através da análise de conteúdo, procedeu-se a sistematização do corpus, categorizado, a partir dos eixos temáticos no modelo preconizado por Bardin (2002).Utilizou-se como referencial teórico-metodológico a Psicodinâmica do trabalho e a Ergonomia Situada de origem franco-fonica afim de identificar a mobilização dos afetos, do sofrimento e do prazer decorrentes do trabalho real ou seja das atividades desenvolvidas. Entre os principais achados tem-se que os motoristas encontram-se bastante vulneráveis e inseguros diante das condições precárias de trabalho. Esse sentimento é reforçado pela negligencia de seus direitos por parte das empresas contratantes que exercem forte controle sobre as atividades como exigem o cumprimento dos horários estipulados além de exigir um atendimento satisfatório aos usuários sem levar em conta as situações adversas de trabalho desses profissionais. Segundo os depoimentos, o sofrimento psíquico torna-se visível por meio de indicadores como mal-estar, dores constantes no corpo, desgaste físico e mental. Observou-se ainda a consciência desses profissionais da grande responsabilidade que tem por dirigirem em coletivos que muitas vezes, não apresentam condições para trafegar condignamente. Essas situações são enfrentadas mediante estratégias individuais e coletivas. Pretendeu-se contribui para o reconhecimento dessa categoria profissional e das condições de trabalho que caracterizam o setor para que ações em termos da segurança destes possam ser implementadas pelas empresas, e que certamente contribuirá pela qualidade do serviço prestado a população
