Identificação dos fatores relacionados com o acompanhamento dos usuários dos Centros de Atenção Psicossocial nas Unidades Básicas de Saúde em João Pessoa-PB.

Madness was historically treated with imprisonment (hospitalization), with the consequent institutionalization. The Psychiatric Reform arises, in this context, in order to transform relations in mental health, proposing the creation substitutive structures for the psychiatric hospital, such as the Centers of Psychosocial Care (CAPS), evidencing the Family Health Strategy as a fundamental resource in monitoring individuals in psychological suffering. The present study aimed to evaluate the monitoring of CAPS users of João Pessoa in primary care. It is a crosssectional study with 170 users from three CAPS in the city of João Pessoa, in which simple and Multiple Correspondence descriptive analyzes were performed, as well as statistical analysis, with the application of Logistic Regression, having as dependent variable the use of Family Health Strategy (ESF) and, as independent variables, sociodemographic and health care characteristics. It was observed that only 41,8% (95% CI: 34,4% - 49,2%) use the basic services of the USF. Also, having a history of psychiatric hospitalization, not participating in other activities and services, taking drugs and having family caregivers are associated with lack of monitoring at USF. The chance to be accompanied decreases if there is a history of hospitalization and paid work, increasing if the individual is catholic. Thus, it appears that mental health needs to be strengthened in Primary Care, with actions to expand the substitutive network to the psychiatric hospital and reduce hospitalizations, but mostly, promoting quality care, expanding the articulation of the services to improve quality of life for people in psychological suffering, in order to socially reintegrate these individuals.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESA loucura foi tratada historicamente através da reclusão (internação), com a consequente institucionalização. A Reforma Psiquiátrica surge, nesse contexto, com o objetivo de transformar as relações na saúde mental, propondo a criação de estruturas substitutivas ao hospital psiquiátrico, como os Centros de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS), destacando-se a Estratégia Saúde da Família como instrumento fundamental no acompanhamento aos indivíduos em sofrimento psíquico. O presente estudo teve o objetivo de avaliar o acompanhamento dos usuários dos CAPS de João Pessoa na atenção básica. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, com 170 usuários de três CAPS do município de João Pessoa, em que foram realizadas análises descritivas simples e de Correspondência Múltipla, e análise estatística inferencial, com a aplicação da Regressão Logística, tendo como variável dependente a utilização da ESF e, como variáveis independentes, características sociodemográficas e de atenção à saúde. Observou-se que somente 41,8% (IC 95%: 34,4% - 49,2%) utilizam os serviços básicos das ESF. Além disso, ter história de internação psiquiátrica, não participar de outras atividades e serviços, tomar medicamentos e ter cuidador familiar estão associados à falta de acompanhamento na USF. A chance de ser acompanhado diminui se houver história de internação e trabalho remunerado, aumentando se for católico. Diante disso, verifica-se que a saúde mental precisa ser fortalecida na Atenção Básica, com ações para ampliar a rede substitutiva ao hospital psiquiátrico e reduzir as internações, mas principalmente, favorecer uma atenção de qualidade, ampliando a articulação da rede para a melhoria da qualidade de vida das pessoas em sofrimento psíquico, a fim de reinserir esses indivíduos socialmente
