ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA KLIEN POST OPEN REDUCTION INTERNAL FIXATION (ORIF) FRAKTUR CRURIS DENGAN FOKUS STUDI MANAJEMEN NYERI DI RSUD TUGUREJO SEMARANG

Background - Fractures in Indonesia are the third largest cause of death under coronary heartdisease and tuberculosis. One type of fracture that most often occurs in the lower extremity iscruris fracture. Generally fracture patients undergo surgical procedures to speed up the process ofbone healing. Although bone fragments have been reduced, manipulations such as pen insertionthrough the bone will cause severe pain called ORIF post pain. Pain management requirespharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management actions. Deep breath relaxationtechnique is one method of non-pharmacological pain management.Objective - This study aims to describe pain nursing care in post ORIF fracture cruris clients witha focus on deep breathing relaxation techniques at Tugurejo Hospital Semarang.Method - The methods used in this case study are descriptive methods by presenting cases andusing the nursing process approach. Sampling used was two respondents.Results - after 3x24 hours of nursing care were carried out on the two respondents, the results ofthe client experienced progress marked by a reduced pain scale from 7 to 4 in Nn.M, while Mr. Cthe pain scale decreases from 5 to 3.The recommendation - management of the post ORIF client cruris fracture that is emphasized isto teach non-pharmacological actions of deep breath relaxation and distraction to overcome theclient's pain problems
