PERBANDINGAN KUALITAS CITRA DAN INFORMASI ANATOMI BRAIN DENGAN KASUS STROKE MENGGUNAKAN PEMERIKSAAN MRI PESAWAT 3 TESLA SEKUEN DWI POTONGAN AXIAL ANTARA TEKNIK FAST IMAGING EPI 6DIR DAN TSE

Diffusion Weighted Imaging (DWI) is a technique that illustrates random movement of water molecules in body tissues. When used on brain imaging. Single shot (SS) EPI DWI is the most widely used DWI standard technique. This technique is relatively insensitive to movement, but is susceptible to susceptibility artifact, chemical shift and geometric distortion. In Radiology Installation RS Premier Surabaya uses DWI TSE sequences to reduce the appearance of susceptibility artifact on MRI Brain Stroke examination. This study aims to determine the difference of image quality and anatomical information between DWI EPI 6DIR and DWI TSE sequences and to find more optimal sequences in generating image quality and anatomical information on MRI Brain examination in Axial Stroke patients.This type of research is quantitative research with pre-experimental approach. Data were obtained from 10 stroke patients examined using MRI 3 Tesla at Radiology Installation of RS Premier Surabaya. Each patient was examined using DWI EPI 6DIR and DWI TSE sequences on the Axial piece. The resulting image was then assessed by 3 radiologist specialists. Data analysis was performed using the cohen's kappa test for the perception equation test and the Wilcoxon test saw no difference in anatomical information. And tested Wilcoxon to see there is a difference in image quality.Wilcoxon test results showed no significant difference in image quality between DWI EPI 6DIR sequence and DWI TSE (p-value> 0,05).
