PEMANFAATAN SEKUEN DIFFUSION WEIGHTED IMAGING (DWI)- ECHO PLANAR DAN DWI-PROPELLER PADA PEMERIKSAAN MRI PEDIATRIC BRAIN DALAM REDUKSI ARTIFACT : STUDI LITERATUR

MRI examination in pediatric patients defies the high-level challenges that adults produce. Restoring Sedation or Anesthesia The DWI-EPI and DWI-PROPELLER sequences are some of the sequences that can overcome this motion artifact. The purpose of this study was to study the application of DWI-Echo Planar and DWI-PROPELLER in the MRI examination of the Brain of the Child in the reduction of artifacts.This type of research is descriptive research in the form of literature review. Basic data used in conducting journal reviews are SpringerLink, ProQuest, Scopus-Elsevier or Thomson Reuters, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, AJR (American Journal of Roentgenology), and EJR (European Journal of Radiology). This source will be processed in tabular form, analyzed descriptively and compared with the underlying theory.The results of this study indicate that DWI-Echo Planar has a fast scan time. Furthermore, it is not sensitive to artifact motion so it is useful when examining a child's brain because it is too excessive which arises because it causes artifact motion. DWI-PROPELLER with the k-space data oversampling technique, proved to be well used in the examination of the child's head because of the same ability in terms of reduction of artifacts due to motion. DWI-PROPELLER is more optimal in producing image quality compared to DWI-EPI because of its role in reducing artifacts such as artifacts of vulnerability and geometric distortion displayed on sequences. DWI-EPI uses the signal deficiency to noise ratio (SNR). This deficiency can be overcome by using a 32-channel head coil.Keywords: MRI Pediatric Brain, DWI, Echo Planar, PROPELLE
