Increased sexual hormones, especially progesterone and estrogen during pregnancy can lead to changes in the oral cavity in the form of increased permeability of blood vessels gingiva so that it becomes very sensitive to local irritants such as plaque, calculus and caries. Pregnancy can aggravate gingivitis commonly known as pregnancy gingivitis during pregnancy, which is an excessive inflammatory response of the gingiva to dental plaque. This study aims to determine the relationship of gestational age and the level of oral hygiene with the incidence of gingivitis in pregnant women in Puskesmas Kaliwungu Kendal.This research is an analytic survey withapproach. cross-sectional The sampling technique in this research usingtechnique accidental sampling that pregnant women who visit health centers kaliwungu.
