POTENSI TERAPI MUSIK DAN AROMA TERAPI DI RUANG INTENSIF TERHADAP PERUBAHAN KECEMASAN DAN HEMODINAMIK NON INVASIF PASIEN DI RUMAH SAKIT

Introduction: Patient with critical illness in intensive room required medications and interventional therapy for 24 hours a day without suspension. Increased physical and mentally stress effected cardiovascular hemodynamics alterations, whereas anxiety activated sympathetic nerves with consequences in increased norepinephrine production that increase peripheral resistance. The aim of this study was to prove the potential of music therapy and aromatherapy at intensive room to alter anxiety and non-invasive hemodynamics on patient in Siti Khodijah Hospital Sepanjang Sidoarjo.Methods: This is a quasi-experiment study with non-equivalent without control group design. Independent variables: music therapy and aromatherapy, dependent variables: anxiety and non-invasive hemodynamics. Samples size was 45 participants with accidental sampling technique. Data analyzed using paired t-test and one way anova. (?=0.05, p?0.05).Results: The influence of music therapy: anxiety (p=0,001), sistole (p=0,047), diastole (p=0,037), the influence of aromatherapy: anxiety (p=0,001), the influence of combination therapy: anxiety (p=0,001), diastole (p=0,004), heartrate (p=0,031). Differences on three groups of combination therapy interventions: anxiety (p=0,018), blood pressure (p=0,041), heartrate (p=0,006).Conclusion: Music therapy influenced anxiety and blood pressure, aromatherapy influenced anxiety. Combination therapy influenced anxiety, blood pressure and heartrate. There were different results between admitting music therapy, aromatherapy and combination therapy (music therapy-aromatherapy), combination therapy was more dominant in altering anxiety and non-invasive hemodynamics on patient in intensive room
