A method derived from the Rozhdestvenskii hook method is described. It is based on the study of anomalous dispersion close to an absorption line and it is used to measure relative oscillator strengths. Here one arm of a Michelson interferometer holds the vapor to be studied. Using a white light source the interferometer produces an interference pattern which is analyzed by a photoelectric spectrometrer.
