In a first part we suggested a rational analysis of laser heat-treatment based on the definition of parameters characterizing the beam and on an analytical modelization of laser-material interaction using an original formalism. In this second part, we try to show the capabilities of this approach : — a fast access to realistic data on evolutions of characteristics determining microstructural transformations (temperature increase of the surface, heat penetration depth) — a choice of treatment parameters for a specific application according to various criterions (technical or metallurgical) without any complex simulation — capacities to consider more prospective solutions which use incident flux modulations in order to achieve a given thermal...
