Angular distributions of the reaction 9Be(3He, α) 8Be* (1+ levels at 17.64 MeV and 18.15 MeV) are measured at 4, 5 and 7 MeV. The pattern of the curves are similar for the two levels and the ratio of their cross sections is about 2 and is independent of the incident energy.
