TUBECTOMY AND NON–TUBECTOMY CONTRACEPTION SELECTION BEHAVIOR AMONG WOMEN OF CHILDBEARING AGEBASED ON THEORY of PLANNED BEHAVIOUR(TPB)IN DISTRIC SAWAHAN SURABAYA

Tubectomy contraception among women of childbearing age has lower number of choosers when compared with other methods of contraception. This study compares the factors that influencethe behavior in selecting tubectomy contraception method amongwomen of childbearing age based on Theory of Planned Behavior / TPB in districSawahan Surabaya. The study design which was applied is case-control. The samples that were used in this study are 60 respondents, consisting of 30 respondents in the tubectomy group as case group and 30 respondents in the non–tubectomy group (other than tubectomy contraception) as control group, thus the samples were selected according to the inclusion criteria. The independent variables included Attitude towards Behavior (ATB), Subjective Norms (SN), Perceived Behavioral Control (PBC), and intent.The dependent variable was the behavior in selecting tubectomy contraception method.
