Leitura e escrita via internet: formação de professores nas áreas de alfabetização e linguagem

This paper presents the methodology used by the courses offered by the Center for Continued Education, Institute for Language Studies, UNICAMP, to basic school education teachers who work in public schools in Brazil. The courses use the freeware environment for distance learning TelEduc as a space for different practices with reading and writing as well as a space for interaction between the in-service teachers and the teacher educators aiming at the reflection about educational practice in the area of Language and Literacy. Amidst a complex net of interaction and learning, we chose to analyse what is done in this context regarding the work with and about writing in some extracts from one of the courses. With this focus in mind, we take into account the pre-conceived ideas that the course participants have about distance learning, the way they interpret/use the spaces of communication provided by the environment, the relations they establish among non-digital and digital textual genres and also genres which they learn about/use in this environment, the way they get involved in the community that is created during the course and the social relationships they build. The results indicate that the there is a qualitative growth of the relation participant/reading-writing relation in the courses and that the in-service teachers place themselves - within the proposed activities/tasks - as readers/writers in the interactions which are done almost exclusively by means of writing. The extracts analysed show that reading and writing using the environment tools require understanding/interpreting these genres/support even for those who are not very familiar with technology. For them, the course was also a means to get an introduction to Digital Literacy in an informal, situated and contextualized way.O artigo apresenta a metodologia dos cursos que o Centro de Formação Continuada do Instituto de Estudos da Linguagem (CEFIEL) oferece a professores do ensino básico de escolas públicas utilizando o ambiente de ensino à distância TelEduc como um espaço para o exercício de diferentes práticas com a leitura e a escrita, bem como de interação entre os professores em formação e os professores do Centro, visando a aprendizagem e a reflexão sobre a prática educacional na área de Alfabetização e Linguagem. Em meio a uma complexa rede de interação/aprendizagem discute-se - por meio da análise de extratos de um dos cursos - o que se faz nesse contexto em relação ao trabalho com e sobre a escrita considerando: as idéias pré-concebidas que os participantes têm de cursos de formação à distância; a forma como interpretam/usam os espaços de comunicação do ambiente e as relações que estabelecem entre gêneros textuais não digitais e gêneros que usam/aprendem em tais espaços; o modo como se envolvem na comunidade que se constitui durante o curso e as relações que sociais constroem entre si. Os resultados mostram que a metodologia de formação incide na relação cursista/leitura-escrita: nos cursos os professores em formação assumem - em meio às atividades propostas - o lugar de leitor/escrevente já que as interações se fazem quase exclusivamente por meio da escrita. Os extratos analisados mostram ainda que ler e escrever usando as ferramentas do ambiente requer uma compreensão/interpretação desses suportes/gêneros textuais, mesmo para aqueles que têm pouca familiaridade com a tecnologia. Para esses, o curso foi também um meio de se aproximar a noções de Letramento Digital de uma maneira informal, situada/contextualizada.9311
