Scholia Graeca in Odysseam. III. Scholia ad libros ε-ζ

This is the first modern critical edition (replacing Dindorf's 1855 outdated one) of the Greek exegesis on Homer's Odyssey, from the Alexandrian times down to Byzantine scholarship. With the exception of Eustathius' Parekbolai (the only work that has an independent tradition), it has the ambition to encompass the whole of Greek scholarship on the Odyssey, including the so-called D-scholia and the extant fragments of Porphyry's Homeric Questions. Since most of the manuscripts have been collated for the first time, a large amount of the exegetical material presented here is new. Furthermore, a wide-ranging apparatus fontium et testimoniorum accompanies the edition, showing the links of the exegetical material with other provinces of Greek and Byzantine erudite literature
