Experimental drying curves at Huacalera solar dryer

En este trabajo se presentan y discuten resultados experimentales de un secador solar instalado en Huacalera, Jujuy para el deshidratado de productos agrícolas. Se obtuvieron curvas de secado de cebolla, acelga y perejil a la vez que se midieron las variables del sistema: radiación solar, temperatura, humedad y flujo de aire. Se discuten los resultados, algunas modificaciones que se hicieron en el sistema y otras que han sido propuestas.This paper deals with the experimental results of solar drying in Huacalera, Jujuy. The designed equipments for the indirect solar radiation type and work with forced airflow. Each one of them has a bank of collectors with 100 m2 of soil area. The drier chamber, 10 m2 of soil area, has a load capacity around 500 kg of fresh product and approximately a daily production of 100 kg of dried product. The driers have been used in the production of carrots, spinach, onions, garlics and other dehydrated vegetables. Parsley (Petroselinum crispum), onion (Allium cepa) slices and swiss chart (Beta vulgaris var. vulgaris) drying curves are obtained.Asociación Argentina de Energías Renovables y Medio Ambiente (ASADES
