PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA PECAHAN MELALUI MODEL ASSURANCE, RELEVANCE, INTEREST, ASSESSMENT, SATISFACTION (ARIAS) PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract: the purpose of the research are to improve the ability to solve problem of fraction by applying ARIAS model in the fourth grade at one of privat primary school in Surakarta at academic year 2017/2018. The type of this research is classroom action research (CAR), it consist of three cycles. Each cycles consist of four phases, they are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research are teacher and students in fourth grade at one of state primary school in Surakarta at academic year 2017/2018 that consist of 24 students. The data collecting technique are interview, observation, documentation, and test. The data validity technique of this research is content validity and triangulation of technique. The data analysis technique are interactive analysis that consist of four steps, they are: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The result of the research showed that in precycle the average score of ability to solve problem of fraction is 65,58 with the class completeness are 20,09% that can reach KKM (≥76). In the first cycle, the average score of ability to solve problem of fraction are increase to 76 with the class completeness are 58,3%, in second cycle the average score increase up to 83 with the class completeness are 75%, and in third cycle the average score increase up to 88 with the class completeness are 91,7%. The conclusion of the research are the applying of the ARIAS model can improve the ability to solve story problem of fraction by applying ARIAS model in the fourth grade at one of privat primary school in Surakarta at academic year 2017/2018. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita pecahan melalui penerapan model ARIAS pada siswa kelas IV di salah satu SD Swasta Surakarta tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa dan guru kelas IV di salah satu SD Swasta Surakarta dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 24 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes, wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis interaktif yang terdiri dari empat komponen yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada kondisi awal nilai rata-rata kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita pecahan siswa sebesar 65,58 dengan persentase ketuntasan kelas sebesar 20,09% yang dapat mencapai KKM (≥76). Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita pecahan siswa meningkat menjadi 76 dengan persentase ketuntasan kelas sebesar 58,3%, pada siklus II nilai rata-rata meningkat menjadi 83 persentase ketuntasan kelas sebesar 75%, dan pada siklus III nilai rata-rata meningkat menjadi 88 persentase ketuntasan kelas sebesar 91,7%. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan model ARIAS dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita pecahan pada siswa kelas IV di salah satu SD Swasta Surakarta.
