EFEKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DENGAN PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL DITINJAU DARI PEMAHAMAN KONSEP

This experimental research aimed to know the effectiveness of mathematics learning with contextual approach viewed by student conceptual understanding. The sample of this research was all population that was students of grade 8th of SMP Sejahtera 1 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2013/2014, as many as 48 students that was distributed into 2 classes, that were VIII-A and VIII-B. According to the hypothesis testing with significant level 5%, it found that the percentage of students mastery learning already exceeded 70%. The conclusion of this research was mathematics learning with contextual approach was effective to be applied viewed by student understanding of mathematical concept. Penelitian eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan kontekstual ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep siswa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan dari populasi yaitu seluruh kelas VIII SMP Sejahtera 1 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 48 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam 2 kelas yaitu kelas VIII-A dan VIII-B. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis dengan taraf signifikansi 5%, diperoleh bahwa persentase siswa tuntas sudah melampaui 70%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan kontekstual efektif ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, pemahaman konsep matematis, pendekatan kontekstua
