This quasi-experimental research aimed to know the influence of using prop from students understanding of mathematical concepts in contextual learning. The population of this research was all students of grade VII of MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2014/2015. The sample of this research were students of VII D and VII F which were taken by purposive sampling. Based on the analysis of data, students mathematical concept understanding in contextual learning which use prop was better than mathematical concept understanding in contextual learning and which not use prop.
