The System of the Economic Diplomacy of the Czech Republic in Italy

This thesis aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the system of the economic diplomacy in the Czech Republic under the previous Czech government (2014-2017), focusing on the effectiveness of this system in Italy. The objective is therefore to describe and to evaluate the current system and model of the economic diplomacy of the Czech Republic, evaluate its effectiveness in the projection of individual activities and services of the subjects of economic diplomacy and their influence on the bilateral trade and economic relations between these two countries. The possible development and challenges for the economic diplomacy of the Czech Republic in the future are also outlined. The first chapter of this thesis deals with the theoretical and methodological basis of economic diplomacy, its tools, models, subjects, and evaluation. The second chapter focuses on the system of economic diplomacy in the Czech Republic, the individual subjects, the strategical documents, but also on the economic development of the country. The last chapter deals with cooperation between the Czech Republic and Italy and the activities of individual subjects. The efficiency is evaluated both at microeconomic and macroeconomic levels.Tato diplomová práce má za cíl zhodnocení efektivity systému ekonomické diplomacie České republiky za předchozí vládní období mezi lety 2014-2017, přičemž hlavní důraz je kladen na účinnost tohoto systému v Italské republice. Cílem je tedy charakterizovat a zhodnotit aktuální systém a model ekonomické diplomacie České republiky, zhodnotit jeho efektivnost v promítnutí jednotlivých činností a služeb, aktivit jednotlivých aktérů ekonomické diplomacie a jejich vliv na bilaterální obchodně-ekonomické vztahy mezi oběma zeměmi. Nastíněn je i možný vývoj a výzvy pro ekonomickou diplomacii České republiky v příštích letech. První kapitola této diplomové práce se věnuje teoreticko-metodologickému východisku ekonomické diplomacie, jejím nástrojům, modelům, aktérům a hodnocení. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na systém ekonomické dipomacie v České republice, jednotlivé aktéry, strategické dokumenty, ale třeba i ekonomický vývoj země. Poslední kapitola se věnuje spolupráci mezi Českou republikou a Itálií či aktivitám jednotlivých aktérů české ekonomické diplomacie, kteří jsou v Itálii přítomni. Hodnocena je efektivnost a prohloubení těchto vztahů jak na mikroekonomické, tak na makroekonomické úrovni
