Types of sentences under the Criminal Code

This thesis deals with sentencing for criminals. The first two chapters deal with crime and the offender, the third chapter focuses on the principles of sentencing, and the fourth one characterizes the penalties and highlights problems that appear while some of them are sentenced. The fifth chapter gives basic statistics of punishment and the last one occasionally works on protective measures.Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou ukládání trestů pachatelům trestných činů. První dvě kapitoly definují trestný čin a pachatele, třetí kapitola se soutředí na obecné zásady ukládání sankcí, čtvrtá pak charakterizuje jednotlivé tresty a vyzdvihuje problémy při ukádání některých z nich. Pátá kapitola ukazuje základní statistiku uložených trestů a poslední se okrajově věnuje ochranným opatřením
