Importance of tourist information centres in the tourism development in Ostrava

This bachelor thesis deals with the importance of tourist information centres in the tourism development. The first part analyse characteristics of tourist information centres and their position in the Czech tourism market. The next one contains the information about their structure. The third chapter attends to the analysis of a real tourist information service provider, namely of Ostravský informační servis, ltd. It concerns i.a. with its activities, offered services and economy. The whole thesis is concluded by author's evaluation and her improvement suggestions.Bakalářská práce se zabývá významem turistických informačních center v rozvoji cestovního ruchu. Je rozdělena do čtyř částí, přičemž ta první zkoumá charakteristiku těchto služeb a jejich pozici na českém trhu cestovního ruchu. Dále práce obsahuje informace o struktuře a členění turistických informačních center. Třetí kapitola se věnuje skutečnému poskytovateli turistických informačních služeb, a to Ostravskému informačnímu servisu, s. r. o. Zabývá se, mimo jiné, jeho činností, nabízenými službami i jeho hospodařením. Celá práce je zakončena autorovým zhodnocením a návrhy na zlepšení
